The job

You will become the Legal Counsel in this international telecom company, based in either Lisbon (Portugal) or Vienna (Austria). The role primarily focuses on international commercial contracts, supporting the business from contract drafting and negotiation to dispute resolution. You’ll also provide legal guidance on telecom regulations, data protection, and corporate governance matters in a global context.

Your daily work will include tasks like these:

• Draft, review, and negotiate telecom and commercial service agreements
• Advising on GDPR compliance, data processing agreements, and privacy matters
• Support corporate governance for non-US entities, including board documentation
• Manage and make sure the company follows legal rules across various international jurisdictions
• Collaborate with product teams and coordinating with external counsel

Your qualifications

💭 You speak German at a native level and you are fluent in English (B2).

🎓 Master’s degree in law, and preferably 5+ years of legal experience.

• It's an advantage if you have experience with telecommunications or technology, as well as knowledge of and experience in corporate governance and in document complex contractual arrangements.

💻 You have a good understanding and level of computer handling skills.

• You can analyse complex legal issues, balance risks, and solve problems with creativity and efficiency.
